SENIOR SERVICES
The City of Dayton operates senior services through its Senior Center located in the Historic Village. Staffing includes the City Clerk, who staffs the center during congregate dining, and countless volunteers that enhance and engage the lives of the City' s senior citizens.
Activities include congregate dining provided through Volunteers of America, card playing events, special workshops on subjects relevant to seniors, group trips and health care fairs. The Center serves many current and former Dayton senior citizens every year. The mission of providing senior services is to promote the socialization and well-being of the City's senior population so that they continue to feel a part of the community of Dayton as well as a community of their peers.
