CENTRAL PARK -12260 SO.  DIAMOND LAKE ROAD

(BEHIND CITY HALL AND DAYTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL )

Central Park is a 20 acre City Park also used by the Dayton Elementary School .  There are four ball fields, a playground, a running track, basketball court, and the Briana Scurry soccer field. 

CLOQUET OVERLOOK PARK - DAYTON RIVER ROAD

This newly acquired property is approximately 16 acres and adjacent to it is 5 acres owned by Hennepin County .  The County has begun to develop a river overlook site.  This park land is high above the Mississippi River and over looks Cloquet Island . 

 

GOODIN PARK DAYTON RIVER ROAD   -- EAST OF LAWNDALE LANE

Goodin Park is located on the Mississippi River and has some trails, picnic tables, benches and grills on it.  The Dayton Women of Today have taken an interest in the park and have been working with Public Works on landscape, and planting of flowers in the park.  The trails have been built to the river.

McNEIL BALL PARK -(Previously known as Historic Village Park) COLUMBUS STREET AND DAYTON RIVER ROAD

The Historic Ball field was redeveloped during the summers of 2001-2002 including seeding and irrigation,  fencing and backstops, and lighting improvements.  The park is approximately 3 acres in size. 

MISSISSIPPI RIVER PARK  - HISTORIC VILLAGE -- LEVEE STREET

This small park is overlooking the Mississippi River in Historic Downtown Dayton.  The park has a bench and a picnic table on it.  It is about ½ acre in size.

This boat landing is owned by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.  The landing is at the junction of the Crow and Mississippi Rivers .  It has a boat launch and a paved parking area. 

DIAMOND LAKES DIAMONDS - SOUTH DIAMOND LAKE ROAD AND ZANZIBAR

This park is 2 ½ acres in size.  It has two small softball playing fields on it. 

DONAHUE DELLS PARK - NORTH OF 129TH AVE ON ARROWOOD LANE

This is a small neighborhood park of about 2 acres in size.    New playground equipment was installed at the park in the spring of 2002.

RIVERSBEND PARK – 141ST AVE WEST OF PINEVIEW LANE

This 3 acre park has a ball field, and playground equipment on it.  The new playground equipment was installed in the Spring of 2002.
