NE Dayton Areas 1-6

Street and Utility Improvements

Area 1 & 2 - Contract 1- LaTour Construction, Inc

 

·        Construction Status

-       Work done to date

o       Latour has completed sanitary sewer on Deerwood up to 131st Lane.

o       A second crew for Latour worked on sanitary sewer and water main up Arrowood Lane and 131st Lane.

o       A third crew for Latour started storm sewer on Deerwood Lane and Arrowood Lane.

o       Northpine Aggregate reclaimed the roadway on South Diamond Lake Road and Balsam Lane to prepare for sanitary sewer installation.

o       Northern Dewatering began dewatering on South Diamond Lake Road earlier this week. As soon as the water table is where it needs to be, Latour will begin installing sanitary sewer.

-       Work anticipated in the next week

o       Storm sewer will continue to be installed on Arrowood Lane.

o       Latour will begin installing storm sewer on French Lake Road and through the easement areas.

o       Northpine Aggregate will be putting gravel on Arrowood Lane.

Area 3, 4 & 6 – Contract 2 – S.R. Weidema

·        Construction Status

-       Work done to date

o       The dirt crew on Vinewood Lane has completed the grading of the ditches and has hauled in black dirt.

o       The sanitary sewer and water main installation on South Diamond Lake Road has been completed.

o       The directional drilling on Pineview Lane has been half completed.

o       Sanitary sewer and water main has been completed up to Jonquil Lane on Noon Drive.

-       Work anticipated in the next week

o       South Diamond Lake Road will be graded to subgrade and they will begin to haul in gravel.

o       They will continue to install sanitary sewer between City Hall and Dayton Elementary. They continue to install along the soccer fields and head west through the easement to Norwood Lane.

o       They will also continue to directional drill water main Pineview Lane.

o       A utility crew will continue to install sanitary sewer and water main on Noon Drive to the east of Jonquil Lane.

 

Area 5 – Contract 3 – Kuechle Underground

·        Construction Status

-       Work done to date

o       All sanitary sewer installation on the milled streets (141st, Rosewood, Quinnwood, Overlook) is complete.

o       All water main installation on the milled streets is complete.

o       All storm sewer installation on the milled streets is complete except for the portion on Overlook Road and the portion going to the river on Pineview Lane.

o       The milled streets will be getting class 5 aggregate on them this week in preparation for the curb and pavement.

o       All pipe work in Cedarwood Ct is complete with the exception of some storm sewer crossings.

 

-       Work anticipated in the next week

o       Sanitary sewer will be installed up Pineview Ln and Oakhill Tr.

o       Water main will be installed on Pineview Ln from 141st Ave, north to Overlook Rd.

o       Services on Pineview will be installed next week.

o       There is a possibility of curb and gutter installation next week on 141st Ave and Rosewood Ln.

o       Storm sewer will be installed this week on Overlook Rd, east of Pineview Ln. After that is complete, all pipe work on Overlook Rd will be complete. 

 

 

Well No. 2 - NE Dayton Contract 4 – Mark J. Traut Well, Inc.

·        Land Acquisition

-       The paperwork has been sent to Gold Nugget, Inc., and once the land is acquired the well construction will begin.

-       Preconstruction Meeting was held on June 27, 2007

·        Construction Status

-       No work has been completed

 

0.5 MG Water Tower – NE Dayton Contract 5 – Landmark Structures

·        LandMark has completed pouring the tower foundation slab.

-       Mobilization of construction trailers has been completed.

-       Land Mark delivered concrete forms and steel reinforcing.

-       The first foundation wall pour occurred on Thursday July 26.
